ISE VMware snapshot when powered down?

Hi, ISE noob here. We have an issue where our 3rd party installer has essentially forgotten the ISE admin password and our backups have stuck in an inactive state. Long story short we are doing a password reset/recovery on the system but would like a recovery process should it go wrong. I know snapshots are a big no no where ISE is concerned, however we only have one node and would it be possible if the ISE VM was switched off? So switch off ISE VM, take snapshot and if it needs restored for whatever reason, do a restore?

Many thanks.

Snapshot can be taken unofficially, after powering of the VM, if required to restore the node but you will not get much support from TAC if anything goes wrong on the snapshot.

Many thanks for that and it's fair enough, but we have no choice as we have no other way of backing up as it stands, hopefully won't need it! Thanks.
