Maximum accouting session ACS can handle

Hi,

We have Cisco ACS 4.2 in our network and the accounting is done for 750-1000 devices and only for level priv-15.

If i want to enable accounting for all levels from priv-1 to 15. All commands executed in devices are sent to ACS. Does the ACS can that much sessions from those many devices??

Am also planning to configure acs remote agent to store all the accounting history.

Any one has idea about it??

Hi,

The ACS remote agent isnt a repository that stores any information. What the remote agent does is that it allows the ACS appliance to send windows authentication requests while it sits on a member server or domain controller performing authentication for the windows users.

As far as your requests is concerned for the accounting requests. It should work but are you using any network monitoring tools that pushes out device configurations? Keep in mind that running jobs all at once can spike the load so if you run into any issues you may be hitting the thread limit for the tacacs services on these ACS appliances.
