I am having trouble installing Acs for Solaris9. After the pkgadd i get this error and the installation is aborted. Apperently when excecuting the postinstall script.

>> ## Executing postinstall script.

>> /var/sadm/pkg/CSCEacs/install/postinstall: test: >> argument expected

>> pkgadd: ERROR: postinstall script did not complete >> successfully

Here are the specs:

OS:Solaris9 with latest patch cluster

HW:SunFire v120

Thanks in advance.

Danny.

Is the version of ACS you are trying to install, supported on Solaris9. This message might be indicative of the system requirements not being met.

It is. In fact this version should be compatible with Solaris 9. To me i seems a problem with exporting the variabels cause the postinstall script seem to have no input. Still figuring out what to do, i think i will alter the script and enter the variables my self, i'll see what that will do.

Problem solved!

There was an issue with multiple gcc versions. After manually deleting all gcc, make and configure versions on the system hence reinstalling latest gcc, make and configure sun packages the acs package installs without any problem.
