Quering ACS-Engine

Is it possible to query the ACS Secure Engine with LDAP formulated requests ??

If so can you point me to some background documentation.

So you're trying to use ACS as an LDAP server? I don't think that functionality is built-in to ACS. It can query LDAP servers for you, so if you're pointing to your ACS for authentications, you can have ACS point to an LDAP for the questions.
