Hello everybody...
When a user logs in to the Certificate Provisioning Portal and wants to generate a certificate for another user, the following error message appears to them:
As the error message above is very misleading, the root cause of the problem is not easily revealed. However, when you refer to the "Manual Certificate Provisioning" report section, the issue becomes somewhat obvious, as illustrated below:
Any ideas?
Thanks

With the option "Generate cert (without CSR)" I don't think you can create a certificate with a Subject CN that differs from the username of the user currently logged in. In your case, user logged in as "test" and you want to make user cert of "user1". The default drop-down that you're showing is really just for the logged-in user to create a cert for themselves in their own name.
If you want to make random certs then you must provide a CSR and upload that into the portal, and select the CSR option from the portal drop-down. And IIRC, the logged in portal user must be an ISE Super Admin.

Thanks for your reply;
I know this situation but as I mentioned, the message the ISE presents for this situation is completely misleading...
