Restore a 2.1 backup in fresh 2.2 installation

Can I restore a 2.1 backup in a 2.2 fresh installation? Or is it risky and better to reconfigure from scratch?

Yes, you can.  I have done this multiple times without issue.

Thanks, I knoew it was possible, but looking for informaiton on stability, it seems it works fine, I will ty as well

The core DB is the same, so I do not foresee any stability issues.

part of upgrade is to restore from a previous release

if upgrade is supported then this is supported
