Backup cisco configuration via sftp

Does cisco support sftp for backup configuration?

Hello

I believe the SFTP transfer option is only available on the NX-OS and IOS-XR (see attached screenshot from NX-OS 7). In most cases it's best to use SCP which should be supported on most operating systems (including IOS and IOS-XE. Hello

No unfortunately you cannot run IOS-XR on a Catalyst switch, because it's platform dependent and only runs on carrier-grade CRS series, 12000 series, and ASR9000 series routers (or in a virtual environment like VIRL).
