Hi

can you help me out with the following error msg: please advice what can i do to resolve this...

AP 'atn-ij-ap', interface '802.11b/g' on Controller '12.2.3.4'. Channel changed to '6' from '1' due to 'Interference'. Interference Energy before update is '-58' and after update is '-79'. Noise before update is '-82' and after update is '-80'. Interference before update is '-58' and after update is '-88'.

what is the acceptable level of interference?

Noise : should be less than -90 dbm (default value for background noise). -82 is a bit too high.

We recommend the default threshold to be -70 for noise.

Interference : it should be less than 10% of the channel utilization.

You can modify those thresholds on the WLC GUI : Wireless -> 802.11b/g (or a) -> RRM -> General
