3D 3500 Appliance Stand-alone - How to view events

Good evening everyone,

We recently were forced to upgrade our FMC to 6.0 and found that, well, a couple of our old sensors (3D 3500's) cannot be enrolled. We're trying to find a way to either offload events or view events directly through the web interface.

Hello Team,

Do you have the sensors connected to the FMC or not ? What is the software version of sensors now ?

If you didnt reimage the FMC, the connection events will be stored there itself.

Only thing you have to do is , reimage your sensors to a matching a version with the FMC and register it and thereafter push the policy.

They are presently standalone and not connected to an FMC. Software is at 5.4.0.8. 

Since the 2 sensors are series 2 3D3500 series sensors, we get an error when trying to connect them to the 6.0 FMC. So we are trying to find a way to view events with them in stand-alone mode.

After looking at release notes of 6.0 , series 2 devices are no more supported.

Thus pulling of those events from sensors, wont be get polled in 6.0 fmc. What is your motive in pulling off that events ?

There is another way which you manage this. Reimage the FMC to 5.4.1.6 or something in 5.4.1.x and try adding this sensor to it and start managing it . It will start atleast pulling the new events from sensor to that FMC.  5.4.0.8 is the max that stand alone SERIES 2 sensor supports.

yes. If you stick with 5.4.x on sensors, and they are standalone not sending or connecting to FMC, you should be able to view events on the sensor.   Once in 6.x all those benefits are gone.
