Greetings all,
We have a 1024MB memory module that was taken from an ASA 5510. We would like to use it in a 5505 that we have. Is the 5510 memory compatible with the 5505? Also, what is the max memory capacity that the 5505 can support?
Thanks!

ASA 5505 supports up to 512 MB, ASA5505-MEM-512=
Any additional memory put in place will not be supported.

Hello IT SUPPORT,
Altough is not supported with 512MB you will be able to run any version higher than 8.3 so there should not be any worries about it. With that amount of memory you will be able to boot the new image and enable all of the latest features

I think that what Julio intended to say was that you don't need more than 512 to run any version that the ASA 5505 can run.
Have a nice one!
