Hi all,
i have a doubt regarding the mac address related to 802.1X PAE. I captured with wireshark an authentication process between my PC and ISE. The first message (EAPoL Start message) was sent to the destination mac address 01:80:c2:00:00:03. I found that this mac is related to 802.1X PAE. I don't understand how the switch know that has to process this packet.
In 802.1X configuration process you have to use the "dot1x pae authenticator" command inside the interface ("config-if").
Does anybody know if through this command, the switch's interface lern to process the packet if the destination mac is the one reported above?
