I have ADSL internet access through a Cisco 837 router. I recently purchased an ASA 5505 as I am due to start my CCSP certification and wanted this for hands on configuration.
My question is what would be the best / recommended solution for adding the ASA to my network?
ADSL -> Cisco 837 -> ASA5505
My service provider provides a dynamic public IP address.
Do I bridge the public IP address to the ASA, or create a new subnet between the 837 and 5505 and use static routes between the devices?

Personally I would chose to put the ASA face my Internet. The security device would be my first line of defense.
I hope it helps.

Can you buy an ADSL over POTS interface card for the ASA 5505?, as the standard ASA's only have Ethernet ports.
Thanks,
Andrew.
