Hi all,

have a quick question regarding Cisco IE 1.4

my client is on on the following

Product : ISE - VM - K9
version 1.4.0.253
Role : standalone

and has assign the following resources :

4 vCPU
RAM : 4096 MB
Disk : 220GB

however he is seen the following Alarms

The required minimum of RAM is 16 GB; found only 3832 MB on node xxxxx

as per Cisco guide on EVA is requires only 4Gigs

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/1-3/installation_guide/b_ise_InstallationGuide13/b_ise_InstallationGuide12_chapter_011.html#ID-1417-0000001d

OVA Template

Memory

CPU

Virtual Eval OVA

4 GB RAM

2300 MHz (no reservation)

does anyone know as of why? or has he downloaded the incorrect Eval

any advice is greatly appriciated

maybe this might also help, he also see the following alarm

On node xxxx average IO read performance directly from the disk device is 261 MB/Sec; which is less than the minimum requirement of 300 MB/Sec.please update VM hosting to support  IO performance requirement

thanks a  lot

Lance

Cisco did not modify the code that checks the CPU and IO performance specifically for the evaluation OVA.

The functions should all work but performance may be or bit slow if you put too much load on an evaluation-sized node.

It's probably good they have it that way so that people who are evaluating are reminded that their production deployment will need to be sized with more resources allocated.
