Allowed characters for a Pre-shared Key

When configuring isakmp key "keyname" address x.x.x.x netmask y.y.y.y - what are the allowed characters for the shared key? I did a search and found several articles that said it could be alphanumeric. I have some existing connections that are using dollar signs in the key. Can anyone provide a link to documentation that spells it out because what I have found is not agreeing with the actual config on the PIX. Thanks.

You need to configure the RADIUS preshared key to authenticate the switch to the RADIUS server. The length of the key is restricted to 64 characters and can include any printable ASCII characters (white spaces are not allowed). You can configure a global key to be used for all RADIUS server configurations on the switch.

You can override this global key assignment by explicitly using the key option in the radius-server host command.
