Hello,
There are 10, 50 and unlimited users profiles for the ASA 5505, can anyone elaborate on that restriction? Does that mean for example that only 10 users can go through a 10-user 5505?
Thanks,

Hello,
That is correct Jose, only 10 users will be able to traverse the ASA.
Same thing for the 50 and unlimited users.

Thanks,
Any idea how it monitors the amount of connected users, would it be by source IP?, if so, can I connect a proxy in between so it would appear as one user to the ASA?

Hello Jose,
The meaning of user license basically refers to concurrent IP addresses that can communicate between Internal (inside) network and Internet (outside) interface. So, for 10 user license, only 10 concurrent internal hosts (IP addresses) can access the internet. The same applies for 50 users (only 50 concurrent IP addresses can access the Internet). For UL license, there is no such restriction.
I would say that is a great idea. Use the proxy and let me know the result
