We have swapped this ASA out and still have the same problem. Swapped out but used old flash, but was told it was the thing to do by TAC. does anyone know of a bug that will do this for 7.0.6. ?

Hi,
Have u tried upgrading to ver 7.2.2 if that resolves the issue ?
Have u analysed the sh crash from TAC ?
Here is the link to release notes :
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa70/release/notes/asarn706.html
Dont see any bugs .
May be TAC should be able to sugeest if there is an internal bug.

Yes, we are considering upgrading the IOS. currently Didata has the crash information, but no response.

I have had many issues with 7.0(6) but have seen a number of issues resolved with 7.2(3. The only time I am still seeing issues is when major acls changes are made and cpu spikes. have you done a file system check ? If so what was the output.

yes, cpu spikes to 100% for 5 mins when a write mem is done to the ACL then reboots. that's crazy! I will upgrade if necessary, but that is pathetic. I've never had that happen before. Your thoughts.
