I am trying to keep a backup configuration file for may asa on a tftp server. I can get it to send the configuration file over just fine, but would like to have a timestamp in the name with out running a script in kron. Is there a way to append a timestamp to the file name when I use wr net?

Hello Benjamin,
As previous mentioned there is no way to add a time-stamp option to the TFTP configuration file.

To my knowledge, there is no way to append a time stamp to the file name. That said, I'd recommend moving your post to the Security community as this is Small Business Security Community doesn't much deal with the ASA and doesn't get in the realm of the 5512. I do have a cluster of 5512's here, and as I mentioned, I'm not aware of a way to append a time stamp. Sorry.
