Hi all,
I'm looking for some clarification in reference to trunking on an ASA.
I have an ASA 5512-X with two 3750-X's connected to the inside and outside interfaces and I need to trunk between them. I can set up sub-interfaces and configure the correct vlans on the inside interface but cannot do the same thing on the outside interface (can't have the same vlan on multiple interfaces).
I am positive that this can only be achieved by configuring the ASA in transparent mode but would appreciate some clarification.
Thanks.

Hi,
You are correct that this would not be possible in routed mode as Sub-Interface cannot have the same VLAN configured.

That is a normal behaviour in route mode.
