I am working on the ASA5520 upgrade from 7.2 to 8.4. The upgrade path shows I need to upgrade from 7.2 -> 8.0 ->8.2 ->8.4. First I added the 2Gb memory on the ASA. It accepted without issue. I tried both IOS 8.0(2) and 8.0(5) (I checked the download size are correct), they both give me the same warning when I upgrade the ASA with ASDM.
ASDM detected that following list of files are not valid files for boot configuration.
Are you sure you want to continue configuring these files?
disk:/asa802-k8.bin : Not a valid configuration file
Is this a common warning I can ignore or there is something wrong with the upgrade? Attach is the print screen. Any advice will be appreciated.

Are you using the command boot config? Or boot system?

Good question. I am using ASDM. The warning message appears before it shows me the command.
Will there be any risk if I use CLI? Usually I use boot system in CLI.

Hi,
No, there is no problem with that, actually, it would be better if you do it that way.
Let me know.
