I have a 5520 ASA that I am trying to upgrade from 8.2 to 8.3 and have an issue where every time I copy a file from tftp to the local flash (or http to flash or disk0) the file copies, writes the file and immediately re-boots. When it comes back up, it says the file is there but it is an invalid image. Does this sound familiar to anyone? TIA

Well I figured it out...too much memory installed by vendor to upgrade the ASA. I did a 'sh mem' and the free memory and used memory was totalling 200%. 111% and 189% respectively. Took out two sticks and booted up, works fine now with two GB of RAM. Only wasted a couple hours of my day....

Hi,
Yes, there have been known issues with using two memory sticks while upgrading from 8.2 to 8.3 or higher, right now the only solution seems to be working with only one stick. So yes you got the right solution in place for it as of now.
Thanks,
Varun
