ASA AnyConnect License

Is there any way that we can check the start & end date of the Cisco AnyConnect VPN License after being installed /activated on the Cisco ASA?

CLI or ASDM.

Hi @vikrammurudkar7589,

Hope this helps.

Proactive renewal notifications are not currently in place. As such, it is your responsibility to keep track of the expiration date. This is visible in the Sales Order Subscription field or SWSS line item and at any time by logging in to your Cisco.com linked account to your contract (CSCC), which will show the start and end date for the contract. For banding Plus/Apex SKUs (L-AC-PLS-LIC= and L-AC-APX-LIC=), you will also receive your license expiration date in your license registration email and the expiration date will be visible inside of your Cisco license portal when viewing your registered licenses. You will not be able to determine your AnyConnect license tier, authorized user count or expiration date from the 'show version' command of a head-end.

Hi Vikram,

The criteria for expiration is based on expiration date mention under PAK. You can confirm the details from your SO.

Like @Marvin Rhoads said, to check for expiration, you need to log into https://ccrc.cisco.com/ccwr/ or software.cisco.com

As stated before, there isn't any command to check the expiration date on ASA.

Hi Dinesh,

Thanks for the reply.

We had recently bought the AnyConnect VPN License. I know the purchasing date & we had just activated it last week. After checking on the ASA via CLI, it's showing perpetual.

Since, it was bought around 2nd week of last month while the AnyConnect VPN License was activated on the ASA in the 4th week of last month.

In above scenario, what will be the start & expiration date of the AnyConnect VPN License?

Also, if possible, I would like to know if there's any command from which I can check the start date & expiration date on the ASA via CLI or ASDM?

Your help will be really useful.

Thanks & Regards,

Vikram. K. Murudkar.

You cannot see it from the ASA itself. Only via the Cisco portals (software.cisco.com or CSCC depending on the license type) can you see the status of your license.
