ASA cannot send email alerts

Hello,

I configured ASA to send email notifications. My exchange server is at the same network as the inside interface of ASA but I do not receive any email alerts. I set it to receive informational email in order to receive something to see if it is working, but nothing.

Should I put a static route or something in my mail server?

The sender email has to be configured somehow to send emails to asa?

Apologies if you have done this, but just to double check...........

Did you configure your exchange server to allow the ASA to send emails via exchange? did you configure the ASA to send emails to the SMTP relay of exchange?

I put the IP of ASA SMTP relay of exchange and now works fine!
