Hi Biplob,

I believe 300 meters is above the maximum ethernet segment length so you'll need to put a couple of switches in the middle. Apart from that, it should work.

Just keep in mind that we advise to have a stateful failover link at the same speed as the highest speed FW interface to be able to pass connections data properly.

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas

Thanks. They want fiber cable between two building. before in PIX two cable used one is serial cable and another is state cable. in ASA if we not use the shipment cable and use another cable then its okay ?

What you think devices are in two Rack then its identical for operation.

Hi Biplob,

Any RJ45 cable will do the job. You don't need to use the provided cable.

Nicolas
