Hi,
I'm moving some of our network equipment around.
We have 2x ASA in standby/fail-over, each with a 2960s switch which has a mirrored config. I want to move the whole setup into a different rack.
I've tested the fail-over and it works fine so I'm wondering if it's as simple as turn the standby ASA & switch off, move them to the new rack, turn them back on and then change the standby over to active and repeat the same move with the now standby ASA & Switch.
Or should I disable the fail-over first on the standby prior to turning it off?
Louis

Your first option will work as long as you connect the failover interface so that when the moved ASA comes back up it detects an active mate and thus knows not to come up as Active itself.
