It's not certified to run in VMware Workstation. The supported VMware platforms are:

  • VMware vSphere Hypervisor/VMware ESXi 5.1
  • VMware vSphere Hypervisor/VMware ESXi 5.5
  • VMware vCloud Director

Hi Marvin,

Yes, I know that, but I would like to know if someone was able to try it inside Workstation 12.,,and how.

Regards,

Hi,

I'v try, 6.0.2, on VMWare without success, then I deceide to try with virtualbox, and it works there. Just greate a new VM with 8G of RAM, 4 cpus, and 4 NICs (important) set every NIC to paravitualized-virt-io type, without that the OS will crash and reboot constantly, like in VMWare does.

It seems that you can run it on GNS3 too: https://www.gns3.com/discussions/firepower-threat-defence-virtual
