hi everyone,
for some reason, my ASA lost the ios image, so i want to recover. what I did:
in rommon mode,
BUT !!! too slow, I suspect the rate is 9600 only, even I used the gigabit port
if I upload a bin file which over 100M, it will take days......
this is not work in the real DR situation, is there any way I can really use in DR situation?

Hi there,
TFTP uses IP so the 9600 baud rate does not come into play.
TFTP transfers and acknowledges one block of data at a time, this is very slow. It can be sped up by increasing the the block size, providing the sending server supports it. Try increasing it with the command:
rommon #1 > TFTP_BLKSIZE 1428
...then restart the transfer.
cheers,
Seb.

If you changed the Block size and still slow, make sure you're connecting back to back with the firewall with proven and tested UTP cable, sometimes slowness caused by partially fault cables.
