ASA in HA (Active/Standby failover) but only one IPS module

Hi folks,

Will I have a chance to configure active/standby failover with a pair of ASAs but only one of them will have AIP-SSM module? I know it is a requirement that the two ASAs are exactly the same from HW and SW perspective, but not sure if that would include IPS module. Obviously IPS will not work if the primary device fails, but that's OK.

Unfortunately failover would not work with 1 ips module.

Either you should have two,oryou would need to remove one from asa.
