ASA in HA -problem

Hi.. i have two ASA 5525 running as Active & failover. I am facing some problen here. When i reboot active ASA then standby become active but when active ASA comes up, it doesnt become active. Standby ASA remains active.

is this default behaviour or there is some config issue.Pls help.

Hi Anukalp,

 

Yeap. Thats the default behaviour. If you want to make the primary unit back in to active state.... you have to issue failover reset on active unit to make the actual primary unit to active.

You can go through the below mentioned document which will be helpful for you in configuring failover .
