Hello Everyone,

I have an issue that keeps coming up. i have done several things but non seems to fix the issue. sometimes it goes away days and eventually comes back.

Jan 29 17:11:23.139: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 001d.7032.5005 in vlan 100 is flap ping between port Gi0/1 and port Fa0/1

it's have an ASA5510  (configured as FO but secondary is shutdown in order to TSHOOT) connected to a Cisco 3560, the port is configured as an Access port and a trunk port is connected to an HP 12504 switch. i'm using MSTP.

The Flap is between the ASA and the trunk port and the MAC is the ASA e0/1 Inside interface.

can someone help?

Hello,

So are you telling us that the Switch is connecting to the firewall via an Access-Port using FO.

But u also have a trunk port to a HP switch where you are learning the MAC address of the ASA inside interface?
