Anyone can help to explain the SNMP trap behaviour of ASA when there is interface failure or chassis failure occurred.

For example,

1)When one of the interface failure, firewall failover occurred, which firewall will sent out the SNMP traps, the failed "primary" firewall or the secondary firewall ??

2)When there is interface failure occurred on the failover interface which interconnect between the firewalls, what will be the status of the firewalls and which firewall will sent out SNMP traps ??

Thanks..

You can monitor system events on the PIX using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). In order to receive SNMP syslog traps for failover, configure the SNMP agent to send SNMP traps to SNMP management stations, define a syslog host, and compile the Cisco syslog MIB into your SNMP management station.

This explains the SNMP traps on ASA.
