second question

how i upgrade my license or where i upgrade?

thanks

Hi,

First, you should contact Cisco TAC and confirm if you have an active license on this. Cisco licensing team can check it for you. If you don't, you need to buy a new SmartNet contract or license and I guess you can get advice from Cisco TAC/licensing team.

Once your IPS is covered under a proper contract, you can download the appropriate software license for your module and software version, such as Cisco Services for IPS service license (Version 6.0.x and earlier) or Cisco Services for IPS services for IPS service license (Version 6.1 and later). To update the license, logon to your sensor via IDM (as it is easier) https://your-sensor-ip, and click on Licensing under Configuration to upload your license file. Have a look at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/5.0/configuration/guide/cli/cliobtsw.html#wp1041467. If you can't access the sensor via IDM, you may need to check its configuration or re-run setup on it.

Lay
