Hi all
we have to reset/recover the password for remote location, bcoz due to some reasons we lost the password for IPS module ASA-SSM 20
Please share the procedure as the hw-module password reset command is not working.

use the hw-module passwrod reset command, you must have ASA 7.2.2 or later.

you can also do it another way, is reimaging the image on SSM an option for you? if yes, then see below link for the procedure, reimaging will make the SSM boots using default factory setting.

if you don't want the troubles than I think, using a later ASA software version is better as Allan's has mentioned above.
