Hi
What is the significance of the Cisco "suggested" software version? It's been at 9.2 for a long time (currently showing asa924-smp-k8.bin), but 9.3.3, 9.4.2 and 9.5.1 are also available.
Why is the suggested version so far behind the latest?
Regards
Kev

Hi Kevin,
The Cisco suggested version are based on the TAC engineers feedback and customer feedback, also some versions are most likely to have more bugs and limitation. The evaluation process normally takes from 6 months to one year. 9.3, 9.4 and 9.5 were realeased this year , hopefully starting 2016 we will have the respective suggested version for each trail.
Hope it helps

Thanks Randy, I guess it's odd that 3 minor versions have been released and none of them hare reached the "recommended" stage. Still wondering whether to put 9.5 into production...
