ASA VPN Phone config

Hello,

I have a question regarding the configuration of the ASA when using it for VPN phones.

The ASA has a working configuration, the phones connect without a problem. The customer requires to change the default RSA key which has a modulus size of 1024. He wants to use 2048.

I know that command is "crypto key generate rsa general-keys modulus 2048"

I want to be sure that applying this command won't cause any troubles with the certs loaded from the call manager or the cert that was exported to the call manager.

Is there an implication when changing the key size?

I will appreciate your help.

Hello ,

"crypto key generate rsa general-keys modulus 2048" command tells router to use 2048 bit key length while generating the rsa key pair , i dont think it will create problems for you.

Thank you

Murali.
