What is the throughput of a CX module within an Asa 5525-x?

Can't seem to find what it is through the module.

Thanks

Hello Weisse

Refer to document

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/asa-5500-x-series-next-generation-firewalls/data-sheet-c78-729807.html

It should be 650 mbps for the 5525

Rodrigo

Rodrigo,

thanks for the response. I saw the page you referenced but didn't see anything specific regarding the CX throughput. I believe there is reference to the ips module. I know the Asa can handle the 650 mbps, I just don't believe that the CX can handle that amount of traffic.

Hello Chris

Next-generation firewall throughput[5](multiprotocol) 650 Mbps

[5] Throughput was measured using Cisco ASA CX Software Release 9.1.1 with multiprotocol traffic profile with both AVC and WSE. Traffic logging was enabled as well.

That is the throughput the CX module supports because is the module the one doing the bottleneck

Rodrigo

Rodrigo,

thanks for the clarification.

Christian

...of course that's without an SSL decryption policy. :)
