Hello,
We have an ASA firewall that now when connected to the serial console I can see stops booting at the line:
Cisco Systems ROMMON Version (1.0(12)13) #0: Thu Aug 28 15:55:27 PDT 2008
Is there anything that can be done to resolve the issue or is it a new box required?
Thanks

hi david,
if the device is booting to ROMMON means the IOS (software) has been deleted from flash
you simply need to upload the IOS back to the device to get it working again
link below will help you through the process

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for your time and the reply, I've checked the compact flash card and it looks as though everything is on there that should be, I don't actually think it's getting into ROMMON, it's just starting that process, no prompt comes up and I don't get to the bit where you can hit escape...

hi dave,
sounds like it could be dodgy RAM in that case then try replacing and see if the unit then fully boots to ROMMON
