I am configuring ASA5516 from scratch and trying to find out the current recommended versions.
Could you please advise?

Curretly:
ASA Software Version: 9.8(2)
Firepower Extensible Operating System Version: 2.2(2.52)
Device Manager Version: 7.9(2)152

@nhassiotis78 you don't have a 9300 hardware appliance. The ASA software image you used upgrades the ASA software to 9.16.4 and the hardware firmware, which is 2.10 in your instance.

You will need to get ASDM if there is no asdm bin image on your ASA.

@nhassiotis78 I suggest upgrading to 9.16.4, that is the newest version your hardware supports. Any older version already has an EOL date.

Thank you very much for the reply.
There are differences before and after the update, where Firepower and Device manager are gone and SSP operating system version appeared.
Is there something that needs to be fixed or it is fine to leave them as they are?

Before Update
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.8(2)
Firepower Extensible Operating System Version 2.2(2.52)
Device Manager Version 7.9(2)152

After Update
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.16(4)
SSP Operating System Version 2.10(1.217)

@nhassiotis78 but it's working right? then it's fine. Is ASDM (Device Manager) installed? If not install it.

ASDM seemed to be there before update but it seems to be gone now so I guess I need to separately install it again.
Also Firepower Extensible Operating System disappeared, should I install that as well?

@nhassiotis78 there is no separate upgrade file, I assume it's been renamed to SSP OS.
