I have a pair of ASA5520s in Active/standby.
I have a bunch of devices on a VLAN that currently use .254 as the gateway address that I want to eventually migrate to .1 as the gateway adress.
If I configure:
ip address 192.168.170.1 255.255.255.0 standby 192.168.170.254
Will devices on the 192.168.170.0/24 subnet be able to use either .1 or .254 as the gateway address?
TIA

Hello,
Yes, they will be able to use the 170.1... The 254 will be just to monitor the state of the secondary device.
So the IP that will always be used will be 170.1
Any other question just let me know.
Regards,
Julio
