Hi,

I'm tryng to load asdm image on asa using tftp but it fails.

I simply configured a port on asa with an ip and put my pc on the same subset. I can ssh to ASA from my PC but cant connect to tftp on my PC. I set wireshark but cant capture any tftp traffic.

ping to asa from my pc is successful  but from asa to pc it fails.

Is there something missing from config?

Did you check firewall on your PC?

Run wireshark on your PC then see if the PC has incoming TFTP. if it does, then yes most likely local FW blocking it

Please remember to rate useful posts, by clicking on the stars below.

Turn off the windows firewall on your PC or at least allow tftp in the firewall as this has a tendency to drop this traffic.

always easier to do via the network & ssh to the asa (can use free solarwinds tftp server) or if it's a 5515-X or higher, you can use the USB port.

hope that helps
