Hi Everyone,
Need to know what will be the result of configuring nameif command under Management interface of ASA 5520 when interface is not configured as--
management-only?

Hi Mahesh,
It wont have much of an impact. It doesnt matter if it has or doesnt have the "management-only" configuration.
It just changes the name of the interface.
For a normal Data interface the "nameif" must be configured for the interface to work. I would imagine the same applies to a "management-only" interface as you have to reference the "nameif" when you configure the settings for the different management connections types (Telnet, SSH, HTTPS)
If the interface has existing configurations referencing the original "nameif" then after the namechange those configurations will also be updated with the new name.
