Automatically downloading Updates to a machine other than sensor

Is it possible to automatically download updates from cisco site to a local machine and then use that machine as update server?
I know the second part can be done 9using FTP,SCP) option in sensor configuration. But how do I automatically download updates from cisco on a local machine (other than a sensor).

I tried accessing URL https://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/front.x/ida/locator/locator.pl using custom scripts/curl. It asks for authentication and then fails with "Unable to Parse XML". What XML does this script expect? License File of the sensor or some other information?

I have a cisco IPS-4260

To my knowlege, this is not really supported. I am sure with some tickering, you might get it to work, but i doubt it. The only options supported are listed on this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/7.0/configuration/guide/cli/cli_system_images.html#wp1045915

Thanks,

Rafael
