Best Scripting/ Language for Network & Security engineer?

Hi Friends,

I am working on Routers, Switches & Firewall, So Please suggest me which is the best scripting/ language (ex. Python, Pearl & TCL) for me to work on large number of devices.

What is the best religion?  Do you see the issue with the question you ask?

Personally, I prefer Perl.  Perl is excellent at text processing (and config files are text based) and has a million modules available.

Which Perl modules?  Once that do telnet, ssh, snmp, etc.
