BFD over BGP support in ASA

Hello,

Query is regarding deploying BFD in BGP through ASA.

We have eBGP configured between PE 7609 and CE 6509, through ASA5585 in transparent mode. BGP is configured on a gigabit ethernet link with sub- interfaces running multiple services.

Aim is to achieve sub-second convergence of BGP in case of primary link failure. To achieve this, BFD seems to be the best bet. However, configuring BFD with ASA in between PE and CE is becoming a challenge.

Request suggest best possible solution to achieve the goal.
