Hi Naser,

it seems that you have configured a static nat/pat line that will forward the ping or Http traffic destined the interface to another IP or subnet. please share the current configuration to check further.

Regards,

Mohammad

You were absolutely right. had to issue a no command on one of my nat rules which i newly created and its all up and running now. live and learn. thanks for your help Mohammed.

This was the culprit on my config file

static (inside,inside) interface 192.168.64.253 netmask 255.255.255.255

Put the command below in and started working again. feel really stupid now

#no static (inside,inside) interface 192.168.64.253 netmask 255.255.255.255

Hi Naser,

I am happy that I could help.

this static nat was forwarding the traffic destined to the interface to 192.168.64.253 . now after removing it , the ping should work as well.

Regards,

Mohammad
