Can PIX be configured to use DNS server for IP addr resolution?

No. What are you trying to do?

NO, the pix cannot resolve DNS names to IPs.
There is the "[no]names" syntax but this is like a local hosts file. You can enable names by typing "names" in your config or "no names" to disable it.
But this is just local and helpful to visualise names in configs instead of IP addresses.

50 remote sites, non cisco routers, ipsec but with dynamic IP addresses. I'd like to use DDNS server and configure peers on pix using names and not IP addresses
