Can remember password to login to ASA 5505

Hi guys.

I got an ASA 5505 recently and i'm new to using firewalls but have forgotten the username and password that was set on it for login using SSH (putty). Is there a way i can stiil login to it or even reset the password so i can login using Putty?

Hi,

What was the authentictation set to ? local or active directory?

If it was local then, unfortunately there is no way. You will have to console into the device, do password recovery and reset the password.

if it is Active directory then you can go and reset your password on the Active directory.
