Hello,
Has anyone ever seen the following message when attempting to add an SNMP host on an ASA/PIX..??
"IP and subnetmask form invalid pair indicating broadcast or network address"
Here is what I am trying to enter...
"snmp-server host OUTSIDE 1.x.x.43 community xxx"
I already have the following config, but I can not add .43...
"snmp-server host OUTSIDE 1.1.1.42 community STRING"
Thanks!!

I'm running 7.0(4). I still cannot figure out why I cannot add this host.
Thanks for your help!

Lee,
There is a bug in some versions of ASA, Bug ID CSCsc37492.
I found a work around by increasing the subnet mask size on the interface then adding the SNMP host then changing the subnet size back.
However, this config will only remain untin the ASA is rebooted. But it should give you enough time to monitor the ASA until you can upgrade the software.

Im attemp commands with same problem;
command--> snmp-server host inside 10.250.2.63 community securezone
display--> Error : IP and subnetmask form invalid pair indicating broadcast or network address
Display agrees with a network mask /26, but the network 10.250.2.0 has chewed /24, something absurd! since the connectivity between host and pix are perfect, from host I even leave to Internet by pix and can administer pix. With IP,64 it happens the same.
