As mentioned, this is an ASA 5506 running 9.8(1)
They both "claim" to be in use if I try to remove either via command line.
The object-group is a service, has nothing underneath it (I was able to remove the ports), and does not show up anywhere else (searching using sh run | include). I even confirmed it in the ASDM - it says "is not used anywhere" when I right click on it. In the ASDM it does appear to allow me to delete it, however then I look/refresh and it's back.
Same thing with the object.
Is the ASA just in need of a reboot (which I won't be able to get approval for anytime soon), or is there something else going here that I can check?
