Cannot ping to the external interface

Hi All,

I am using ASA with IOS 8.3.

I am not able to ping on the external interface(e0/0) from my internal network.

I permitted icmp from internal network to external interface.

Anyone knows the reason. Pls help

Hi Ranjith,

You would not be able to ping the remote interface from the inside user, although you can ping any host or machine connected to the outside interface. Remote interfaces are not pingable.
