cdFMC- limited reporting capability?

Hello,

I want to create a report from cdFMC over network interface statistic from last month.

However, looking in the report section of cdFMC, I cannot find any report templates that are available in on-prem FMC.

Here is a picture from an on-prem FMC showing what template I want to use.

Looking at the report section of the cdFMC, I can only find some dashboard data that I can save as a report. It doesn't seem to be a way to select single interface here or get more indeepth interface statistics.

Not sure if I look at the wrong place or are report templates missing from cdFMC?

Thanks

Hey @Chess Norris

cdFMC in CDO is known to be lacking in features compared to on-prem vFMC. What features you miss out on in cdFMC is not particularly well-documented from what I can tell, but it looks like some of the reporting functionality is missing when compared to vFMC.

See this thread for another, somewhat related issue with cdFMC: Solved: CDO Dashboard does not show any site-to-site OR RA VPNs - Cisco Community

Otherwise, if you want a confirmed answer, I would say that you might have to get in touch with TAC as I don't think the information is readily available (I've gone down a rabbit hole looking for it before and haven't had any luck).

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thank you. I just created a TAC case hoping to get some more information regarding this.

I have a customer that just migrated from an on prem virtual FMC where he run scheduled reports every week with information about top host traffic usage, network interface traffic utilization etc.

It would be a shame if he loose al those reporting features, but hopefully this is something Cisco can add in a future release.

This was the response from TAC. I guess it was expected but still a bit disappointing for customer that have migrated from on-prem and using reports.

"Currently cdFMC offers reporting capabilities that are not as granular or customizable as those found in on-premises virtual FMC, especially regarding scheduled reports and in-depth interface statistics. In cdFMC, the Reports section primarily allows you to export or save dashboard data, but it does not provide the same level of detail or flexibility for selecting specific interfaces or generating customized report templates as the on-prem FMC".
